Chandler Parsons calls out Trail Blazers on Twitter, gets torched by C.J. McCollum

Someone call the burn unit. Chandler Parsons is in need of some serious assistance.

The Grizzlies forward started a Twitter beef on Friday night, but Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum ended it. Let’s go back to where it all began.

During Portland’s win over Memphis, Parsons came up woefully short on a 3-point attempt, so the Trail Blazers’ Twitter account had a little fun at his expense.

Parsons saw the joke after the game and fired back with a tweet of his own pointing to the Trail Blazers’ current spot in the Western Conference standings. Portland is 21-27, good for ninth in the West, while the seventh-place Grizzlies hold a 27-21 record.

You may remember Parsons signed a four-year, $94 million deal in the offseason. It hasn’t worked out for the Grizzlies so far, as Parsons has struggled with injuries and only averaged 6.7 points per game in limited time.

“I earned my money,” Thompson told ESPN.com. “LeBron’s not my agent. I earned my money doing what I do; you can ask anyone around the league. I opened doors for other guys. It’s a business, and you get paid what the market value is for you. I got my money and opened up doors for other guys that play hard and do the little things.”

Luckily, the injury wasn’t as awful as it looked. He was taken to a nearby hospital where General Manager Dillon Boucher told reporters the situation wasn’t dire.

“I have had an update from a member of our medical team who is with Akil at Auckland Hospital. They have been advised by the specialists that Akil is sitting up and resting and has vision to his injured eye. While there is some damage, the early reports are very positive that the injury is not as serious as first feared,” Boucher said, via the New Zealand Herald.t_rangers_023-115x115
